Slow Cooker Summer Fruit Compote



This Slow Cooker Summer Fruit Compote is a delightful blend of seasonal fruits cooked slowly with honey, lemon juice, and warm spices. It's perfect for topping yogurt, oatmeal, or ice cream, or enjoyed on its own as a refreshing summer treat.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups mixed summer fruits such as berries, peaches, plums, etc
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions:

As needed, wash and cut the fruits, taking out any pits or stems

Honey, lemon juice, vanilla extract, cinnamon stick, and ground nutmeg should all be put into a slow cooker along with the mixed fruits

Mix everything together slowly

Cover and cook on low for two to three hours, stirring every now and then, until the fruits are soft and juicy

Take out the cinnamon stick after the food is done

If you want, you can serve the compote warm or cold
