Copycat Long John Silvers Chicken Planks



Enjoy the crispy goodness of Long John Silver's chicken planks right at home with this easy copycat recipe. These chicken strips are perfectly seasoned and fried to golden perfection, making them a delicious treat for any meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

Salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper should all be mixed together in a shallow bowl

Fill up another small bowl with milk

First, dip the chicken strips in the milk

Then, coat them with the flour mixture and shake off any extra

In a deep fryer or large skillet, heat the oil to 375F 190C

Once the chicken strips are golden brown and cooked all the way through, remove from the oil and let them drain

Take the chicken out of the oil and put it on paper towels to drain

Serve hot with the sauce of your choice
